The U3A guitar group meets at the Trinity Centre in Sutton at 10.00 - 12.00 on the second and fourth Thursday mornings of each month.
Newcomers are welcome, just bring your guitar and some music to play, and join in.
Activities are still evolving, but include group playing, individuals, duets etc. A variety of guitars are used, mostly acoustic, but some players have electric guitars, so please cater for a small amp if you have an electric guitar. The group is very supportive, so please come and play without any fear of criticism. The aim is clearly for improving your playing, and all members will have something to contribute here. Music type is varied, as are the playing styles. The more advanced members will help with the less experienced members. Some members read music, but most don't. Lyrics, chords and tab are hence the most common form of music. So keep your music fresh and progressing, and come along and play.
If you would like to learn more about this group, please send our organiser a message via the 'flying bird' icon at the top right hand side of this page (or at the foot of the page if viewing on a mobile device) or come along to a meeting.
