60s Dancing Group
|Place:||Trinity Centre, Church Hill, Mill Street, Sutton Coldfield, B72 1TF|
|Day:||2nd and 4th Fridays of the month.|
Definitive meeting dates are displayed in the Monthly Programme.
Please note that all sessions will take place in the Longman Room at the Trinity Centre (click for map) in Church Hill at the top of Mill Street, adjacent to the Parish Church, not at the URC as previously advertised.
Starting off the first session with Chubby Checker's "Twist" and Little Eva's "Locomotion", the Group is set to dance its way through all the hits of the 60s decade and disco on into the 70s.
We have quite a good selection of 60/70s CDs but ask that members bring along their own favourite tracks to enjoy and share with the group those happy 60s/70s memories the tracks evoke.
The sessions will provide for lots of freestyle dancing but we would love to hear from anyone who could demonstrate the jive, or any other dance craze of the decade, and help others to have fun learning those energetic steps and disco moves.
Refreshments are available at the Trinity Centre.
If you would like to learn more about this group, please send our organiser a message via the 'flying bird' icon at the top right hand side of this page (or at the foot of the page if viewing on a mobile device) or come along to a meeting.
