Tuesday Walks in the Park
|Meeting At:||Visitor Centre, Sutton Park Town Gate|
|Dates:||Tuesdays, as specified below|
|Time:||10.00am for 10.15am start|
|Duration:||Generally between an hour and an hour and a half|
Definitive meeting details are displayed in the Monthly Programme.
The first meeting was held on the 2nd December 2014, and all meetings subsequently have been well attended, with anything between a dozen and 30 or more people turning up. Walks, which follow a different route each week, are on a mixture of surfaced roads and well-defined paths, and although some of the routes are up hills, there's nothing too strenuous involved. We would advise wearing a pair of walking boots or stout shoes though, as some of the paths can get muddy after rain.
Everybody is welcome to come along and join in; meet by the Visitor Centre (click for map) near the Town Gate entrance to the park. After the walk has finished, a number of members usually head for Costa Coffee in the nearby Wyndley Leisure Centre for a well-earned drink and chat!
If it's very wet there won't be a walk, however if rain is intermittent, a number of people will usually turn up, appropriately dressed for the British weather.
