On the last Friday of each month we organise a not too strenuous circular rural walk, averaging about 5 miles. The walks, with a variety of leaders (offers to lead new walks are always welcomed), usually start at 10.30 am and the venue will be a pub or hotel with adequate parking facilities and access to toilets.
The pace is steady, allowing plenty of time to appreciate the scenery, chat to other members of the group and visit places of interest en route. At the finish, there's an opportunity to enjoy a meal and drink together.
Because of the varied terrain and weather conditions, suitable footwear and clothing are required. There is no charge for the walk and members are encouraged to share cars.
