"POINTS OF VIEW"
Definition - 'the position from which one can observe, one's opinion or mental standpoint.'
We are a small group of people with views which we think are worth expressing and which are subject to revision based on the views of others. So if you have something on your chest that you want to air; have read an article that has incensed you; heard an opinion on the radio or television that has upset you; or heard a comment that has made you stop and think then this is the arena in which to give vent to your views and opinions.
Any member of the group may table a subject at the weekly meeting which is usually based on published articles or comments from television or radio but it's often the Group Leader who starts the subject trail off. For trail it is - in that one subject leads to another and so on ensuring that a meeting is never boring.
Points of View is not a debating society in the formal sense. The Group size is kept naturally to about ten to twelve people which is the maximum that ensures that everyone has a say. New members are most welcome. There are no waiting lists. If the maximum number suitable for a meeting is breached then another Group will be started.
