One Hundredth Study Day in March 2017
The Surrey Network has been presenting Study Days since October 2004 and since October 2005 they have been held at the Menuhin Hall, Stoke d'Abernon. In March 2017 we celebrated our One Hundredth Study Day with the theme of Celebrating Surrey. The celebration cake which is shown below was made by Pippa Carter from Bookham U3A. The opening address was given by Mr Michael More-Molyneux, Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, and our national chairman, Pam Jones, was present and helped cut the cake. The other speakers were from Surrey University, Surrey Archaeological Society, Surrey Wildlife Trust and the National Trust; we also had a poetry reading and a recital by pupils from the Yehudi Menuhin School.
