Painting
The Painting Group meets in the main hall of The Old School on the second and fourth Fridays of every month, from 11am to 1pm.
The convenor is Glynis Parsons. We welcome new members. We charge £2 per person per session, which pays for the hire of the hall and expenses incurred for the benefit of the members.
Participants bring their own art materials and a drink or snack that they might like to consume during the session.
It is really important that participants have an email address, as the subject (usually an original photo) for each session is sent out a couple of days ahead, together with tips and staged photos of the subject being painted. We usually start our sessions with visuals using the OHP.
Our programme for this year is exciting and varied, interpreting painting in its widest sense of the word, although our bottom line, as it were, is watercolour painting. We cater for all abilities and participants works individually. Everyone in the group is friendly and the emphasis is on enjoyment.
