Learn, Laugh and Live!

Welcome to Sudbury u3a

What is the u3a? It is a nationwide network of learning and activity groups aimed at encouraging people not in full time employment to share their knowledge, skills and interests in a friendly environment. Each u3a is run by its members for its members.
Sudbury u3a has been in existence for 35 years and has currently over 900 members, with over 80 groups offering activities that range from the sedate card games and art and drawing to the more active ten pin bowling and table tennis.
There are language groups and also Holidays and theatre groups. All in all, there is something for everyone.
A link to our groups page can be found here on the right hand side of this page GROUPS
Our aim is to ensure our u3a embraces the ethos of Learn, Laugh, Live and that our members have access to the informal learning and many social activities available regardless of impairment or disability, ethnic origins or diversity.
Regular events are monthly meetings held at Sudbury Rugby Club where we have speakers on a multitude of subjects, and monthly coffee mornings held at the Friends Meeting House in Sudbury. Both are free and generally well attended. You can find out more at both these events.
Sudbury u3a have a bi-monthly newsletter, SU3AN where current and past copies can be accessed on the link SU3AN
Membership details can be found on the link on the right hand side of this page Membership
