How to deal with suspicious emails and text messages

The National Cyber Security Centre has useful information for individuals and families on its website at ncsc.gov.uk. Here it has many tips on how to spot the obvious signs of a scam and what to do if you have already responded. We have listed three links to their website.

ClickSilver – free one-to-one support to build your digital skills

The ClickSilver scheme offers support to members who may need IT help. It matches members with mentors who will guide them through the basics of IT through four one-hour virtual sessions.

Suitable for participants who would benefit from: –

Finding your way around your smartphone or device
Setting up and using an email account
Online shopping
Using social media such as Facetime, WhatsApp and Skype
Accessing social and community groups
Registering for online services.
