Wine Appreciation 2
Members take it in turns to host tasting meetings in their own homes, on the 2ND Tuesday of the month, from 12.15 to approx. 3 p.m. Occasionally a visit is arranged to a vineyard or other place of relevant interest.
The hosting member typically presents 4 wines with a common theme, such as a grape, a locality, a method of production etc., followed by a simple “ploughman” style lunch. The host also prepares a simple information sheet about the wines tasted.
Each member only has to host about once a year, so work and cost is shared.
We aim to improve our knowledge of wine, without taking ourselves too seriously!
