Economics and Finance Matters
Formerly known as “Money Matters”, the Economics and Finance Matters Group meets monthly (second Thursday mornings) at the Quay Theatre(upstairs). As before, we seek to make sense of the financial world we find ourselves in and the economic forces that are in play. Every month one member leads the discussion on a topic he or she has chosen, the rest of the group having been given some time to consider the key issues regarding it beforehand. This is preceded by a review of the latest trends in financial markets (mainly British and US) and developments in the world economy. Our meetings: 10.15 for a prompt 10.30 start, finishing at 12.00. Venue charge is £2 per person. Hot or cold drinks may be purchased.
