French Conversation
This group is for people who know enough French to go beyond the level of basic shopping and who can make themselves understood. We wish to make certain that we don't lose our ability and we try to improve.
A typical meeting includes general conversation, sometimes on a topic that was decided the previous session. The idea being to have people thinking and speaking spontaneously. Another feature is to read an article from a French magazine to gain a little insight into French attitudes and modern French usage then try to translate into everyday English.
We meet at the Sudbury Institute, 54 Station Road, at 10 o'clock on the first and third Friday morning of each month, the session lasting for 90 minutes.
We ask all members of the group to join the Institute (if they are not already members) which is £25 a year (at time of going to press.)
