Mahjong 2

New and Beginners

An old Chinese game played with beautiful tiles. The game has been adapted by various cultures, so there are no universal rules and (even in U3As!) few opportunities to learn. Within our groups we provide instruction and support, to allow you to develop your understanding and skills in this fascinating game.

The object of the Game is to make a complete Hand of fourteen tiles, this is called going Mahjong
The Hand that is needed to go Mahjong must consist of either:
Four combinations of three (Chow or Pung) or four (Kong) tiles and a pair of identical tiles.

This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the Month.

Although this group is full, Cynthia will offer beginners assistance to get together in a new group. Please contact her by clicking on Bluebird.
