Lunch Club No. 2
Lunching and socializing seems to be a very popular activity, judging by our normally good turn-outs. The club’s formula of alternating pub lunches with a variety of restaurant meals (Chinese, English, Indian, Brazilian and Italian so far) seems to go down well, so to speak. Unfortunately for would-be new members, the club is full, limited by the fact that it's not possible to take huge groups to most places and because only one person has resigned after three years! There is a small waiting list, whose members are able to join in most months as there are usually a couple of regular members who are unable to attend for one reason or another. If enough people want to join there is always the possibility of starting another lunch club; please ask Brian or one of the other lunch club leaders.
Lunch Club 2 continues to offer a variety of venues for its members - in the last few months we have been to The Black Dog pub in Waltham Chase, O Sole Mio Italian restaurant in Port Solent, The Rising Sun pub in Warsash, Avenue 141 fine dining at Fareham College, The Hunter's Inn in Swanmore for a Chistmas lunch, The Old Lodge Hotel in Alverstoke, Casa Brasil Brazilian restaurant in Port Solent and The Bun Penny pub in Lee-on-the-Solent
