Stubbington

Choir

We meet every Monday afternoon at 1.45 pm – 4.00pm at The Methodist Church Hall, May's Lane, Stubbington. We can use both front and rear car parks.
We are also extremely lucky to have two very well respected local musicians, Jay Deeble as our Conductor and Jill Race as our pianist.
Why not come along and see what we are doing and maybe, even, join in. We are always looking for new voices.

The choir is split into 4 parts, our ladies singing Soprano and Alto and our men into Bass and Tenor. We could certainly do with a few more gentlemen's voices. Listen to some of our popular songs listed under "links" on the page.
Our music ranges from specifically designed choral pieces including works by George and Ira Gershwin, through to outstanding show pieces, for example "The World in Union". And by way for a complete change, there is always fun in singing Doug Coombes’ arrangements of "Sing around the World", a fascinating collection of Folk Songs.

Then, now and again, we are invited to sing at the Monthly Meeting of Stubbington U3A, at other local U3A's, local schools, Community events and other local musical concerts.

Admission Costs
The attendance fee is £2.00 per week.

To purchases the sheet music and music books the choir is currently using please ask one of the Group Leaders for details. Any new music that is required after this is bought from Choir funds.

There are spaces available for both men and women, But we could very much do with a few more men at this moment. So Guys, pop along on a Monday afternoon, as our guest, and try us out.
I'm sure your enjoy the experience.
