We currently meet once a month in a member's home at 10 am on the first Friday of each month.
We are not grand masters and have a diverse standard of play. Chess can be both simple and complex, but it is only necessary to learn one or two openings and perhaps some essential positions in the end game, to get started. With this in view, we now have the opportunity to have a one-to-one tuition event offered by Manningtree Chess Club on a Wednesday evening.
We are also exploring the opportunity to welcome members from Stanway U3A.
