Stourbridge

Language and Literature

The Literature Group meets at 10.00 am on the first Tuesday in every month, at the Friends’ Meeting House, 37 Scotts Road, Stourbridge, DY8 1UR. Use the email link opposite to contact Tim O'Mara.

Our aim is to enlarge and deepen our understanding of literature in all its forms. This is accomplished through reading, sharing of knowledge, and discussion. New members are very welcome, with their suggestions for our programme. You don't have to come to every meeting.

Tuesday 7th May: Dorothy Parker, Ogden Nash, Don Marquis - those funny Americans

Tuesday 4th June: 'Milkman' by Anna Burns - Booker Prize Winner 2018!

Tuesday 2nd July: 'A Man of Parts' by David Lodge - a novel about another well-known writer, H G Wells.

Tuesday 6th August: 'The Merchamt of Venice' by William Shakespeare - an ever-controversial play!
