Creative Writing

The “Creative Writing group” started as Covid restrictions began to be lifted in 2021.

It’s aim is to establish a friendly, supportive, and encouraging meeting place for people who enjoy writing for fun. Whatever type of writing you enjoy; poetry, stories, essays will all be welcome here.

We choose a topic for our writing task and endeavour to keep it to two sides of A4. At our subsequent meeting we discuss each submission, giving each other encouragement and helpful hints. At the end of the meeting, a new task is set for the next meeting.

The group meets at the Hub Building, Mary Stevens Park, DY8 2AB between 2pm and 4pm on the last Wednesday every month. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, 22 May 2024 (as we are unable to use the building on 29 May).

The topic will be:

'What is valuable to you?' (Something that is valuable to you - something you couldn't live without)
