Italian Conversation Group 1
THIS PAGE WAS LAST UPDATED 16th SEPTEMBER 2021
Recent studies show that learning a new language can help to slow the decline of brain function. Let's hope so! There are currently two groups studying Italian in a sociable, relaxed atmosphere of mutual help and support.
Members of this group vary from relatively new to more experienced Italian speakers, but the aim is for everyone to contribute and gain confidence in speaking. From January 2018 the group has been successfully run as a co-operative venture by group members. As a rule one member takes overall responsibility while everyone plans something to contribute, usually on a previously agreed topic. A more general discussion follows. Other activities e.g. listening, grammar exercises, quizzes, games etc. may be added for variety.
THIS GROUP NOW MEETS ON ZOOM BUT IS HOPING TO START MEETING IN PERSON IN SEPTEMBER.
