Science Group via Zoom
PAGE UPDATED 16TH SEPTEMBER 2021
This group is for anyone with an interest in science - whether or not they have a scientific background. Don’t worry if you haven’t had a scientific education - or if it was a long time ago - the only requirement is an interest in learning about science and technology issues which affect us all in our daily lives.
The aim is to discuss topics in a way that the “experts” can help the “non-experts” to understand the issues. Many of the most interesting and searching questions come from the non-scientists.
One of the group usually leads the discussion (or sometimes we use a suitable DVD) for 40 to 50 minutes then we have a question and (hopefully!)answers session.
If you have any other topics you would like to discuss then please contact the group leader, Peter Atkinson, and we will try to include them in future meeting.
27th October 2pm in the Town Hall - The Chemistry of Insects by Tony Daniels
24th November 2pm in the Town Hall - Artificial Intelligence by George Carter
As always, everyone is welcome – but don't forget to bring your £1.
If any other member would like to attend this session please contact the group leader for details of how to do so._
