Monthly Meetings.
Monthly general meetings are held at Methodist Central Hall in the Strand, Longton, ST3 2JH, on the last Thursday of each month. We include a range of events that include many speaker meetings. All meetings commence at 2pm.

| Thu Apr 25th | Photography | The Group holds meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. The 2nd Thursday meeting is held at 10am in Room 6 at Longton Central Hall. The 4th Thursday’s meeting will usually be a practical photography session at an “away” venue. There are about 12 regular members now and room for more!! There are NO qualifications, just an interest in photography and a means of taking photographs (camera or smartphone) if possible. There is wide range of experience within the group which can be shared so that new members won’t be overwhelmed with technical or mechanical issues. The group aims to allow space for you to improve your own photography experience, giving members an opportunity to solve problems and develop ideas to keep their photography alive and progressing. | Thu Apr 25th | Monthly General Meeting | The next monthly meeting will take place on Thursday 25th April 2024: 2pm start. Steve Smith will be the guest speaker, and his presentation is split into two halves (March and April). The title of both is "All the fun of the fair." |
| Fri Apr 26th | Arts | The group meets at Longton Central Hall. The next weekly meeting is planned for Friday 26th April 2024. If in doubt please contact your group leader. |
| Mon Apr 29th | Walking | The next walk will take place on Monday 29th April 2024: Barlaston Downs. The walk should take about 1hr 30 mins. There are some inclines and it can be muddy underfoot. Walking poles would be handy. Meet at the car park at the bottom of the drive to The Upper house, ST12 9AE for 10.30am start. | Tue Apr 30th | Book Club 1 | The group meets on the last Tuesday of each month between 2pm and 3.30pm at Longton Library. The group's next planned meeting is on Tuesday 30th April 2024. Group Leader Val Towey may be contacted on 01782 322115. |

| Wed May 1st | Indoor Kurling | The group meets on alternate Wednesdays. The next meeting, on the top floor at Longton Central Hall, will be from 10am to 12 noon on Wednesday 1st June 2024. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Trish Rowley on 07939 209054. |
| Fri May 3rd | Family History | The next alternate Friday meeting will be held at the Tollgate Hotel, Blurton at 2pm on Friday 3rd May 2024. The meeting will take place in the restaurant unless there is a function taking place, in which case it will move to the sports bar (opposite the bar in the corridor). | Fri May 3rd | Craft Club | The group meets at Longton Central Hall at 10am on alternate Fridays. The group is led by Joy Till (01782 314703). The next planned meeting date is 3rd May 2024. |
| Tue May 7th | Longton Allsorts | The next meeting of this small, friendly group will take place at 10.30am till around noon on Tuesday, 7th May 2024 at the Weston Coyney home of Trish Rowley. | Tue May 14th | Discussion | The next group meeting is now confirmed for Tuesday 14th May 2024, 10.00am to 11.15am. It will take place in Stoke Library, which is located within the Council Hub.
