Meetings
Thu May 24th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Could everyone please try to arrive at the AGM on 24th May in good time. Refreshments will be served from 1.30 pm, and the formal meeting will commence promptly at 2 pm.

The AGM will include a Committee request for approval to amend the ‘Objects’ clause of our constitution in line with that of the Third Age Trust.

It will also be your opportunity to vote for committee members and raise any concerns about the management of your U3A.

As no new applicants had come forward for committee positions, we are very pleased and relieved that current Treasurer Lynne Stevenson has now agreed to stand for reelection for another two years. Similarly, Membership Secretary Alan Stevenson has reapplied. Members are reminded that there may be a time when existing committee members need to retire due to other commitments, sickness, etc. and it is important that you consider whether you would be able to take on a committee role.

The AGM will be followed by light entertainment from Singer Rebecca Jane.

Please note that there will not be a monthly meeting on 31st May.
