The Discussion Forum proceedings are informal. Usually one member will undertake to prepare a five-ten minute introduction of the subject which will have been chosen at the previous meeting.
We meet in Lexden on the last Friday afternoon of the month, except in July, August and December when we take a break. The topics are normally chosen at the conclusion of each meeting for the next one, but with the summer break in July/August, the topic for September 2017 was chosen earlier “Are men becoming marginalised?”.
To give an indication of our activities, past topics were:- Can we live without debt?; Does the UK need a second legislative chamber? If so how should it be structured?; and Is increasing multiculturalism of benefit to the UK?
New members would be very welcome. If you are interested in this group or wish to find out more about it please use the Bluebird contact button at the side of the page to contact the Group Leader.
