Creative Writing 1
The Creative Writing Group meets at Copford Village Hall every month, except in July and August. The sessions are from 9.45am to 11.45pm and are on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Each member has enjoyed being a closet writer for some time but, after joining the group, it is pleasing that they are happy to share ideas and work with the other members.
At each session we look at different genres of creative writing including poetry, and through discussion, Drama and Art we explore how characters, settings and plot are devised by published writers. Each member is invited to produce their own written work during the session and, with motivation, go on to finish work at home. It has been a pleasure to see how everyone's confidence has increased since the group started in 2014 and there has been some excellent written work produced.
It is my role as Group Leader and published writer, to make the sessions fun and interesting but I do not correct spellings/grammar etc.
This year we will be looking at ways of encouraging individual members to get their work published.
We would be very pleased to welcome new members who would like to express themselves in a creative way. If you are interested in this group please use the Bluebird contact button at the side of the page to send a message to the Group Leader.
