The tide was on turn when we arrived. Here is a Kestrel hovering. Our leader spotted a Greenshank, and there were good numbers of Godwits, Plovers including some Ringed Plover and a Grey Plover still in summer plumage. One of the group spotted a Kingfisher. After lunch at the café we took a short walk around Chigborough Pits - surprisingly we heard an owl and on one of the lakes we saw Great Crested Grebe with three juveniles - very pale with black and white striped head
