Reading for Pleasure
We meet Monthly on the Second Wednesday from 14.00 to 16.00
We are a friendly and informal group who do not always agree about the merits of the books the group has chosen. We do always agree that it is fun to try the titles chosen even if, as individuals, we dislike that book. Most of our choices are modern novels, but we have also read some earlier ones. Recently, we have included Poetry too, with our choice echoing a theme. We have a wide range of opinions and experiences that we are all happy to share. We are light-hearted, not too serious and we share many laughs.
Some titles we hope to include in the near future are :- "The Essex Serpent", "The Gustave Sonata" and "Cartes Postales from Greece", a Biography and possibly a Travel book.
We displayed some of the books we have read at the Stafford U3A Open Day.
