RECYCLE YOUR USED PRINTER CARTRIDGES AND OLD MOBILE PHONES

Did you know you can recycle these items and in doing so raise money for a local charity: St Neots Food Bank. All you need to do is pay a visit to 30 Beatty Road where you will find a plastic crate to place your items in and then Mr Mike Friend will do the rest.

Failing that you can always place your used printer cartridges in the recycle box at you local Tesco. The proceeds from these are distributed to many good causes including RSPB and (RNLI) Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

Black Cat Radio 102.5FM

St Neots and District u3a have a regular slot on Black Cat Radio with radio presenter Ernie Almond. This consists of Ian Richardson (St Neots and District u3a Chair person) chatting to Ernie every month, typically the week before the Monthly Meeting; talking about what's gone on and what's coming ahead for St Neots u3a members.
Normally it is live just after the 10 am news on the Thursday before the MM. However, during Covid this slot has been a pre-recorded phone chat.
Sometimes there is so much to talk about that Ernie inserts a musical “intermission”.
However, there will be a change to the routine week commencing Monday 17th May. Each day Ernie will be broadcasting, just after the news at 10.00hrs, pre recorded interviews with some of our Group Leaders.
Each Broadcast should last about 10 minutes featuring the Different Group Activity / Group Leaders in each set.
So why not tune in to 102.5 FM and listen to your Group Leaders talking about some of the activities St Neots and District u3a has to offer.

St Neots Museum

The museum is looking for a new secretary to the TRUSTEES. Are there are any members interested? We have now recruited a lady to be the Management Committee secretary, but we are still looking for someone to work with the Trustees. We have drafted a brief job description which is attached here.
It is an opportunity to be involved in the redevelopment of the museum which is just getting under way now that grant funders have reopened their programmes, we are currently recruiting some new Trustees as well so it is a time of change and new beginnings for the museum.
