To all members of St Ives (Cambs) U3A
This is to advise you that with immediate effect (16/3/20) all St Ives (Cambs) U3A activities are suspended for 12 weeks. This includes monthly open meetings and all group meetings and activities.
Outings and trips that fall in the next 12 weeks will be postponed or cancelled. The trip organisers will advise those members who have booked places as to the actions being taken.
Our web site will be updated as we receive further guidelines and information.
Your committee hopes that we may all stay safe and get through this crisis.

The Committee will undertake to refund in full all payments made by members for trips that have been cancelled. However, the current restrictions make it difficult to get cheques signed and posted, and most members would probably have difficulty getting them paid in at the present time. We will therefore delay issuing cheque refunds until restrictions are lifted.
However, we do not know how long this present situation will last and if anyone would prefer not to wait, they can request a bank transfer direct to their account. You would need to email or telephone our Treasurer, Joy Cooper with your full name, sort code and account number. She will make a note of the details and then immediately delete your email. Once the payment is sent, she will contact you to ask you to confirm it has been safely received. No details of members’ bank accounts will be retained once the payment has gone through.
