St. Helens

Sewing Circle

Group Leader:Lynn Simm
Venue:Deafness Resource Center
Day and Time:Friday 10.00-12nooon

We are a friendly and chatty group with a wide range of skills ranging from experts to beginners who are wanting to learn. At our group meetings we trade knowledge and share best practices exchanging hints and tips with each other. We offer a buddy system to help and encourage the more inexperienced sewer.

In our meetings we not only make and sew garments but also produce patch work quilts, and create bespoke tote bags. These bags are very useful when carrying sewing equipment to and from classes. Also we have sourced special trolleys which makes the transport of sewing machines very easy indeed. We also plan to visit fabric outlets as well as craft demonstrations.

If you want to have a go at sewing, re-discover the fun of making garments, home furnishings etc., or just come along and join in with a project of your own. Come along and get creative!
