St Helens

Latin

Group LeaderAnn Stanley
VenueUnited Reformed Church
Dates and timesEvery second Friday from 10.30 p.m. to 12.30 p.m.

• Who we are – A Group of members - not all have studied Latin at school.
• How we work – No pressure; no stress; homework, yes, but NO exams.
• Pronouncing Latin - Basically as in English.
• What we do – Follow the Cambridge University course and GCSE textbooks by Cullen and Taylor which progressively build up vocabulary and grammar through passages and exercises. We add our own fun-items, like a quiz or card game, as light relief.
• When we meet – Friday morning, every two weeks.

Unfortunately, the group is at full capacity at present and is not accepting any new members in the foreseeable future. If you are interested in studying Latin or in setting up a second Latin group please contact the Groups Co-ordinator or any member of the Committee.
