St Austell

Family History (Beginners)

GROUP CONVENOR - Carol Folley

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month upstairs at St Austell Arts Centre from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

In sessions, we will be considering some of the strategies and methods you will need to adopt in order to trace your ancestors.

We will look at a range of sources that family historians need to access to uncover many aspects of their ancestors’ lives. These sources include parish records, civil registration, census returns, armed service records and many others.

We will also look at many of the free sites available on the Internet as well as some of the subscription sites.

Please contact the Group Convenor to book a place.

We are happy for you to come to a Coffee Morning or one main Monthly meeting and to attend one individual group event before deciding whether to join St Austell U3A.
