Environmental Group

Group Convenor - Jill Trewhella

The group's ethos is to recycle/reuse/refill/re-educate and replace single use plastic where possible. Avoid wrapping and packaging and to protect and enhance the local environment with litter picks and bee friendly planting.
Currently glass jars, tights and material are regularly recycled/up cycled for honey containers and shopping/ beach bags.

The swap/sell shop table at each monthly meeting has everything from plants, jigsaws, homemade greeting cards, containers, re usable no plastic coffee cups and more all happy to find a new home.

January 2018 members collected 7 commercial sized bags of rubbish down Sandy Hill. Starting at Aldi and into Linear Park.

Please always contact the group convenor to ensure the session is going ahead
