Walking 2 (approx. 6-8 MILES)

The longer walking group meets on the third Wednesday in the month.

All walks will start from the car park identified on the programme at 10.30am and finish at approximately 3.30pm.

Please bring refreshments including lunch for those walks where there is no identified café/pub on the route.

On the Sunday before the walk Sharon will email all walking group members confirming the walk, the meeting place and whether there are refreshments on route. Any member requiring a lift from the St Austell Arts Centre should contact Sharon by email or text.

22nd Jan - Tresillian to Malpas circular walk, (meet Tresillian layby in front of Park & Ride signage). Path & River Walk. Approximately 6 miles – leader Sharon Wood

19th Feb - Pentewan Valley/Kingswood Circular Walk (meeting place to be confirmed). Woodland Walk. Approximately 6 miles – leader Fran Beeler

18th Mar - Gribbin Head & the Saints Way (meeting place to be confirmed). Coastal, Woodland & Countryside Walk. Approximately 6 miles – leader Chris Scott

15th April - Bedruthan Steps (meet National Trust Car Park on the B3276 PL27 4AH) Coastal & Farmland Walk. Approximately 7 miles leader Sharon Wood

20th May - Respryn Walk (meet Respryn Bridge car park PL30 4AH). River Walk with last half mile on the road. Approximately 6 miles – leader Sharon Wood

17th June - Blackhead circular walk (meet Trenarren Car Park). Coastal & Countryside Walk
Approximately 6 miles – leader Pippa Boardman

15th July - Luxulyan Valley (meeting place to be confirmed). Approximately 6 miles – leader Michael Grindley

19th Aug - Roseland & St Anthony’s Head (meet National Trust Car Park at St Anthony’s Head TR2 5HA). Approximately 8 miles – leader Sharon Wood

16th Sept - Gorran Haven circular walk (meet at Wendy’s home in Gorran Haven). Fields, Valley & Coast Walk with tea at Wendy’s. Approximately 5 miles – leader Wendy Bennett

21st Oct - Bodmin Moor Walk (meeting place to be confirmed). Moorland Walk. Approximately 7 miles leader - TBC

18th Nov - Goss Moor Trail Walk (meeting place to be confirmed). Moorland Walk, approximately 7 miles - leader Sharon Wood

16th Dec - Pentewan to Heligan Gardens and return (meet Pentewan Trail Car Park PL26 7AF). Woodland Walk. Approximately 7 miles. This is our Christmas walk, so Christmas hats if possible and lunch at Heligan Gardens – leader Sharon Wood

We are happy for you to come to a Coffee Morning or one main Monthly meeting and to attend one individual group event before deciding whether to join St Austell U3A.
