The Creative Crafting group is a joint group which meets on the second Monday of the month at Paxmead Hall, Docket Eddy Lane, Shepperton, TW17 9NT between 10.00 and 13.00. There is free parking onsite.
Each month we offer a workshop to make a small craft object using a different crafting technique. All the materials, instruction and encouragement are provided by the group leaders. The full list of workshops for the calendar year can be viewed by clicking the link from the K2 Groups webpage.
There is no charge to join the group but only members of the group can book onto a workshop. A payment of £4.50 in advance is required to book a place on a workshop. The payment covers the hall hire, the cost of materials & refreshments. If after booking a place, you cannot attend, a full refund will be offered unless materials have been already purchased in which case the materials kit will be saved for you.
Workshops run from September to June inclusive. The July meeting is an outing and the August meeting a ‘Stitch ‘n Bitch’ meeting in the group leader’s garden.
Each January, members are also invited to take part in a year long challenge to learn a new crafting skill, for example bag making, patchwork quilting, handmade books, mixed media etc.
Everyone from beginners and experienced crafters are welcome – we spend more time laughing and chatting anyway!
Forms for outing are usually available on the right hand side of the page.
Currently the group is FULL but if you are interested in the group, please contact the group leader via email by clicking on the bird in the box with the bird in it.
