The Creative Crafting group meets on the second Monday of the month at Paxmead Hall, Docket Eddy Lane, Shepperton between 10.30 and 12.30. Each month we do a mini workshop to make a little useful treasure using a different craft technique eg silk painted card, stencilled bag, beaded felt brooch, Japanese silk gift pouch etc. The cost is £4.50 per workshop and includes most of the materials needed. Everyone is welcome, no experience in crafting is needed – we spend more time laughing and chatting anyway! Tea and coffee + biscuits are included. We meet September to June and do an outing in July. We ask for payment for workshops to be made in advance either at the previous workshop, the monthly meeting at the Citadel or by contacting the group leader, Lesley directly. If you book and then need to cancel, the money will be refunded if your place can be filled by someone else.
About half of the group also take part in a monthly bag making challenge to make a different styled fabric bag each month with a show-and-tell at the following meeting. The bag challenge sub-group membership is free and great fun.
There is no cost to joining Creative Crafting and we hope to see you at least for a taster at one of our meetings.
If you are interested in joining our group, please contact the group leader via email by clicking on the bird in the box with the bird in it.
Many thanks. Lesley O’Malley (group leader).
