Surge Testing is scheduled in a locality when and where a Corona virus variant has been found.
Asymptomatic Testing is only given to symptom free, critical care workers who cannot work from home. It is usually intended to identify symptom free, infectious asymptomatic people at a particular work place or location so they can self isolate.
There is a testing site in the Thameside Centre, Langley Road, Staines. The telephone number to book is: 020 8865 1952. The results are given by text or email and take about 4 hours (usually shorter.) Proof of ID and appointments are needed, you must wear a mask and you mustn't eat or drink for 30 minutes before the test. The tests are self-administered.
