Alternate Garden group
This gardening group was set up because of the 'growing' waiting list for the original group. It will be run on similar lines with various venues being used whether at members gardens or at places of interest.
In April 2023 the group visited Springfield's Festival Gardens, Spalding in the lead up to the Spring Flower Garden Show 'Tulips in bloom'.
With the emphasis on recycle, re-use and redesign, our group were invited to take part in 'flower art', decorating mannequins situated around the site for the upcoming event and also create a flower posy jar, which could taken home by members. Everything was provided for this, including natural eclectic elements from around the gardens. Refreshments were provided.
Events take place through to November, which will be our last meeting for 2023, but proposed visits to various gardening venues should be of interest to Members.
