Welcome to South Tyrone U3A

Welcome to the website of South Tyrone University of the Third age. The U3A is an organisation intended to provide interest, entertainment and education to those of us in our 'THIRD AGE'. Third age people are those who are retired or semi retired and wish to do something educational, active or just social.

It is not expensive to join, £12 per year, which is very good value. It is not a University in the normal sense, no qualifications necessary and of course no exams.

South Tyrone U3A (STU3A) was formed in Dungannon in 2008. There are over 40 members with nine groups currently operating. Groups meet once or twice each month. Details of the groups are found in this website.

On the second Wednesday of each month there is a general meeting in the Breakthru premises on the Killymeal Road, Dungannon at 11am...This is the ideal opportunity to introduce new members of STU3A.

The format of this meeting is coffee and biscuits, and a short talk by the Chairperson on events etc in the STU3A. This is followed by a talk from an invited speaker. The meeting lasts about one hour.

Visitors are always welcome, so please come along and hopefully you will join us permanently.

If you wish to join South Tyrone U3A, you can use the form under CONTACT (see top of page).
You can also come to a GENERAL MEETING on the second Wednesday of the month in BREAKTHRU (Killymeal Road) at 11am, and make yourself known to any of our members.
