Initial block bookings are made for theatre events and are sold on a first-come first-served basis on production of your U3A membership card. When events are fully booked it may be possible to book additional tickets or include non-U3A members but this cannot be guaranteed. Tickets will be on sale at the monthly meetings with necessary cut-off points as indicated by each event.

Please note that in line with other groups organising outings the cost of tickets will not be refundable; however the organiser will keep names as reserves and if anyone cannot make it will approach those on the reserve list to see if the ticket(s) can be resold, but this is not guaranteed. The majority of the performances will be matinees and, wherever possible a coach will be arranged though there will be some occasions when attendees should make their own way there.

Please note that bookings cannot be taken without payment.

Fri Aug 7th The Book of Mormon
2:30 at the Liverpool Empire

£50 including coach and gratuity.

The Empire is not allowing any pre-booking so payment has to be made immediately. I will check availability after each meeting and book as necessary. However, it may be that if I only have a few names that I will not be able to have a coach.

This outrageous musical comedy from the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Bobby Lopez, the Co-writer of Avenue Q and Frozen, follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent on a mission to a place that's about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. Now with sold-out productions in London, on Broadway, and in North America, Melbourne and Sydney, The Book of Mormon has become a worldwide sensation. Laugh out loud funny with insanely catchy music you will be humming for months on end!

The New York Times calls it ‘The best musical of this century.’ The Washington Post says, 'It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals.’ And Entertainment Weekly raves, 'Grade A: the funniest musical of all time.' It’s The Book of Mormon, the nine-time Tony Award and four-time Olivier Award-winning Best Musical.
