The Holiday Group currently organises coach trips around the UK and they are a good way to get to know other people in our U3A. In 2015 we had three holidays; Barry in Wales, Oxford and the latest was to Pitlochry in Scotland. We also had two trips; the first was a trip to Pitlochry and the second was a trip to the Northumberland Coast. This year 2016 we are looking at a trip in May to Newquay to take in the Eden Project or Hanging Gardens of Helligan and in September we will be going over to Ireland to explore the South East.
As you can see, we are definitely moving around the UK and we find the trips to be a good mix of walking and talking. Back at the hotel there is not always organised entertainment but we can either chat to each other, go for a walk, or just read a book. Post holiday we meet up again and share our digital photographs and memories.
We have also had a couple of day trips out and hopefully there will be more to come.
The top photograph is from our recent trip on the East Lancashire Railway in July 2015 and the other photographs are from Oxford, Pitlochry and Tenby.

NB: Only members of the South Manchester U3A may come on these trips. So... if you think you would like to be part of our fun-loving holiday group, why not become a member !
