Wellbeing
Co-ordinator: Donald Potter
Meetings: Various days, times, and venues
Over the next twelve months we shall concentrate on ways to, individually and collectively, increase local biodiversity and counter Global Warming.
We'll have a fun and productive time working in partnership with a number of local and, hopefully, national organisations. biodiversity loss and climate change are of extreme - even dystopian - importance so please rally to an urgent cause and email me for details of our Programme of Events.
We'll also continue to feed information on SLu3a activities to local doctors; aiming to tackle loneliness.
UPDATE 29 OCTOBER
George Pilkington (famous guy, check out 'Nurturing Nature Bees' online) will give us a talk with films 'Bees and Other Pollinators in Cumbria'. George will provide us with a solitary bee and solitary wasp observation nest box and one for bumblebees. These are for the garden or balcony and I guarantee they are the best produced in Britain. A Monday in May. Kendal. We'll share a meal after the Event for those who wish to partake.
