We are a very friendly crowd and are always pleased to welcome any one who may be interested in joining us.
Our choice of subjects is widely varied, and our speakers mainly come from volunteers in the group itself, with an occaisional guest speaker. We also organise trips to places of historic interest. The talks can be for a whole session or just a short talk for 30-40 minutes. We also ask members to bring memorabilia. Some members use PowerPoint presentations, some just talk.
Recent subjects covered have been The Georgians, The Victorians, Samuel Pepys, History of old Beaconsfield .....future subjects to be covered will be History of London and First World War.
We always have an interval break for coffee or tea, so you can get to know other kindred spirits.
