Solent

Welcome

Our aim of Solent u3a is to allow people who are no longer in full time employment to increase their knowledge in a friendly and supportive environment, learning from each other through talks, interest groups or trips.

The u3a is a learning co-operative of people no longer in full time employment, there is no lower age limit. Anyone can join - all you need is interest and enthusiasm. No qualifications are required and none are given.

Solent u3a offers the opportunity to share your knowledge, experience and talents with others and learn from each other in friendly surroundings.

There are about 350 members of Solent u3a. We have about 50 interest groups. Our group leaders are the backbone of our u3a coordinating activities between our members in their own homes, local centres or places to visit. They will welcome you into their group and try to accommodate any special requirements.

In addition to our groups we provide two speaker talks each month. The talks are varied and interesting, with the opportunity to ask further questions at the end of their talk. The programme for these are on the events page.

We meet on the second Wednesday and fourth Thursday of the month at Wallington Village Hall, Broadcut, Fareham. The hall opens at 1.45 pm, with the speaker at 2.15pm. There is opportunity to meet other members over a drink at the end of the meeting.

Do you enjoy the company of others?
Would you like to learn something new?
Do you want to maintain skills?
Have you an interest that you would like to share with like minded people?
Then the u3a could be your opportunity to

Learn, Laugh, Live
