What are U3As and who are we?
Click on the link at the right (or the bottom for a mobile) to find out a bit more about us...
How can I find out what the Solent U3A does?
You can find your way around our website by clicking first on one of the labels in the menu strip at the top of this page.
Clicking the Groups label will reveal the many groups that our members run. You can then click on a group of your choice to find out a little more about it, then on the link to the group leader if you want to find out even more.
The Events page announces our fortnightly talks as well as forthcoming events, and lets you browse through reports of some of our past events.
From the Contact page you can email many Committee members directly and can see the full list via a link on that page.
Links will let you go directly to the webpage of several Local Authorities and of local U3As.
Latest News highlights any news announcements and also gives a few helpful tips about using your computer.
Sitemap will allow you to go directly to any page you want and can save you time if you know exactly what you are looking for.
Finally, but very importantly, you need to remember that you can jump to another page or find out a person's contact details by clicking on the indicated text in blue, which then changes to purple once you have clicked on it.
How can I join?
If you are interested in joining or just finding out more about us, please phone 023 9238 7254 or send an email by clicking Membership Secretary.
Our membership subscription is £15.00 per annum per member. As a member you can attend any Group (but you should contact the Group Leader first, of course, to make sure there is room for you) and any Talks Meeting, as well as receiving our own Programme four times a year and The Third Age Matters national U3A magazine five times a year.
If you don't have Adobe Reader on your device you will not be able to open some of the links. But you can download it simply by clicking on Adobe Reader download (but be careful to uncheck any 'Optional downloads') and following the instructions.
If you have any problems on this website, or have any suggestions for improvement, you are urged to send an email to the Webmaster who will get back to you just as soon as he can.
