UKE3A (Ukulele)
We have changed our name to UKE3A. We have also changed our meeting venue. We now meet at the Thameside Nature Discovery Park (Mucking), Mucking Wharf Road, Mucking, Stanford le Hope, SS17 0RN. Madeline Beesley will remain as leader of the Ukulele group. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month between 2.00pm to 3:30pm. Please note change of venue and time.
I am not a teacher but willing to run the group. If you are interested please get in touch but we currently cannot accommodate more members. We were mostly beginners or intermediate players.
Fortunately for most of us we were not required to be able to read music.
It would be great if any more experienced players wish to join us or if you own a ukulele and fancy a strum please come along and we could all learn together.
When we first met again after the lockdown We sounded a bit rusty at first, we struggled to remember our chords but after a while we got into the swing by playing a few old favourites. With a few tips from our “resident professional” Terry, we could be worth listening to in a few years time.
