Tea, CAKE and Play Reading

Previously called Play Reading 2, I host a Play Reading group in my house for 8 people. I will be holding it the last Thursday of the month at 2 pm

When we first set up our group we decided that to break the ice we would start by reading comedies (alongside our tea and cake). So far we have found the humour in the plays has been dated and sometimes lacking completely. The amusement has come from our casting, which is always random, in particular "Mrs Dooley's Table " by Sam Bate.

We recently read "The Night of the Dolls" by Florence Agnew which although a fantasy drama we still found ourselves laughing!
We all agree that it is a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. I wish my living room was bigger to accommodate more members.
Happy New Year.

The Photo. Tea and Cake A typical play reading afternoon scene; our members are camera shy!!

At the moment this group is full and I know there are others interested that unfortunately I can't accommodate.

Please email me if you need more details Deb Foster or call 01375 677971
