Line Dancing
From August 2023 we will be dancing on Wednesdays at our original time of 10.15 until 11.45
The u3a line dance 1 group is held weekly in Horndon on the Hill Village Hall, High Road, Horndon on the Hill, SS17 8LB. There is a free car park for those coming by car. Turn off the High Road opposite the Swan Public House into Mill Lane and then you will see it on the right.
Line dancing continues each week in much the same format. We usually dance around 17 dances to a variety of music and then have a slower dance at the end to cool down. Around half way we have a sit down, a drink and a chat.
As you can imagine, line dancing is exactly what its name implies: people dancing in lines to music! We aim to perform in unison, however, mistakes happen and this is when the laughter starts! As well as enjoying gentle exercise we have a lot of fun.
We have many differing skills so it does not matter if you have not done line dancing before. We dance to really easy dances, and we hope you will give them a try. This is merely a fun morning, in a relaxed atmosphere and is good exercise for the brain as well as the body! Just wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a bottle of water or a drink. We will have chairs in the hall if you want to watch the dances or just have a rest!!! A small charge will be made to cover the cost of the hall currently £2 per head.
