Local History
The Local History Group meets monthly on the last Monday of the month from 2pm – 3.30 pm (excluding Bank Holidays) at the Evangelical Church Hall, 45 Fobbing Road, Corringham, just past the Fire Station – there is a large Cross on the building at the front.
We have restarted our meetings. Please do not turn up unless you have already confirmed attendance with me. Potential new members should get in touch with me prior to attendance due to current numbers.
Our meetings are a combination of discussion and information sharing about local history topics, occasional invited speakers and local visits. We do not organise formal days out but member ideas for future activities are always welcome. Maybe members who grew up in the area would be happy to speak about their experiences or share memorabilia at a meeting? Or maybe you would like to find out more about a local building?
The group is yours so let’s share our ideas and learn together!
