Alan Cleaver
The Corpse Roads of Cumbria Alan was the winner of the 2019 Hunter Davies Lakeland book of the Year prize and this is a superb opportunity to hear his acclaimed talk.

Dogs for Good
Dogs for Good is a charitable organisation involved in the training and provision of assistance and therapy dogs. A volunteer will talk about the work of the charity – and hopefully introduce one of the dogs to us.

Roger Browne
From New York to New Orleans – a musical journey
Roger is a jazz pianist and theatrical director. His presentation promises to be a mixture of fascinating and hilarious stories of the characters and experiences that have shaped his rich life in jazz and musical theatre.

We are delighted to welcome back Anneke, who will talk about the role played by sport in the regime of the former German Democratic Republic.

Julia Margaret Cameron
Aline is a Skiddaw U3A memberand keen photographer. She will present an illustrated talk about the life and work of Julia Margaret Cameron, a pioneer photographer from the days when photography was in its infancy.

Liz Stevenson is Artistic Director at Keswick's Theatre By The Lake. She will talk about her career and give an insight into her role at TBTL.

Geoff Somers MBE
Crossing Antarctica by its greatest axis
Geoff is a Skiddaw U3A member and explorer and will share his experiences of polar exploration. He was the first Briton to cross Antarctica on foot.
