Convenor - Barbara Newton
Meetings will be approx. every month, on a Tuesday and at various times to fit in with speakers. All are welcome.
We usually, but not always, meet in the Crosthwaite Room, Keswick Museum, Station Road, Keswick. There are some meetings where we will be out and about, for instance, we have had visits to the Reminder Printworks and Alhambra Cinema and a Guided Walk around town. There may be occasions when we are on an outside visit and it might not be suitable for a less abled or disabled wheelchair bound person. Details of access will, if possible be included in details sent to members prior to a meeting.
We are a relative new group and at the moment have monthly speakers to cover topics in which the group members have expressed an interest in. In the future, when more established we aim to form some smaller groups to research various Local History subjects such as Plaques and Memorials, KSIA, Stone Circles, Gravestones, Cumbrian Literary etc.
