Local History

Convenor - Barbara Newton

Meetings will be every month, approx. on the 3rd Tuesday and at various times to fit in with speakers.
All are welcome.

Forthcoming meetings will be either be by Zoom or face to face in venues in Keswick depending on current Covid guidelines. If you are on the Local History contact list details will be sent to you. Some meetings will be out and about, and planned at the moment are visits to see the restoration of the Acorn Bank Watermills and a visit to Caldbeck to hear about the rich industrial past of the village. There may be occasions when we are on an outside visit and it might not be suitable for a less abled or disabled wheelchair bound person. Details of access will, if possible be included in details sent to members prior to a meeting.

It is intended that the Local History group stage an exhibition in the Community Gallery, Keswick Museum between Monday 25th April 2022 and Sunday 22nd May 2022.
