Group Convener - Bobby Crosbie

The Pottery Group will meet at Makers Mill, Old Stanley's Joinery Shop

The U3A Pottery classes are still going strong, with our original members who are progressively extending their talents.

We made our own poppies from a template taken off the internet in the style of those shown at the Tower of London, and then glazed them red with low fired raku glazes.

Our menagerie of animals is extending – recent additions being a Herdwwick sheep a family of cats and a pig, and our coiled pots are becoming more shapely and professional.

We have been taking our inspiration from nature and seed pod heads and several members have made wall plaque representations of the Green Man.

A second group has now been added.

Please contact the convenor by clicking the flying bird icon if you would like more information.
