Group Convener - Keith Bonham
This is a discussion and reading group which looks at ideas in political philosophy and also at how they can be applied to current political and ethical issues.
The book for studying is The British Constitution: a very short introduction by Martin Loughlin and published by Oxford University Press. One chapter per meeting, starting with Chapter 1. There are six chapters which should take the group through to March. There will be discussion then about the next step but a possible follow on book is Capitalism, in the same series, by James Fulcher.
The group meets on the first Friday of each month, 10.00, on the first floor of the Theatre. With a cup of coffee or tea or whatever! The first part of each meeting is spent discussing the agreed chapter of the agreed book. The second part of each meeting is further discussion about any article/book/current event we have - as individuals - found interesting since the previous meeting and is related to Political philosophy.
This group is CURRENTLY FULL. If you would like to be added to the waiting list please contact the convener by clicking the flying bird icon.
