Group Convener - Halle Stenhouse
The French group has not met since the start of the lockdown due to Covid-19. As it remains unknown when face to face meetings will be possible in the Council Chamber Room of the Town Hall, we are going to have a trial of using Zoom in October.
The group is currently full but there has been some movement in and out of the group so if you would like to add your name to the waiting list please do so by using the message button on the right to contact me.
The group is for those who already have a good basic knowledge of French even if this was a distant O'level! It is not suitable for complete beginners.
My aim is to encourage everyone 'to have a go' regardless of making mistakes and above all to have some fun with 'franglais', if not perfect French.
The meetings usually include some chatting, a little grammar, reading an article from a French newspaper/magazine, watching a short video clip or listening to a French podcast. The sort of language you need to 'Keep going in French'.
Continuez en français!
We used to meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday afternoons of the month from 1430-1600hrs in the Council Chamber Room, Town Hall, Keswick.
